Sam Hammar will help us navigate our current challenges while also positioning us for a better future. With an extensive public service career and experience as a dedicated public school teacher, Sam brings a wealth of knowledge to the table. However, what truly sets her apart is her unwavering advocacy and hands-on involvement in various initiatives around town. From her pivotal role in Melrose Together to her dedicated service on the Commission on Women, Sam has demonstrated a passion for fostering a collaborative and inclusive community. Not to mention the award-winning weekly MMTV production, “Let’s Talk Melrose, Melrose” — a show she envisioned to support open dialogue and community engagement, which has now been running weekly for 5 years.

Melrose faces unique challenges that require experienced and innovative leadership. Sam Hammar is that leader, ready to tackle these challenges head-on.
