I am honored and proud to serve as the Campaign Chair for Sam Hammar for Melrose Mayor!! I’m #withsam !!

Sam is a woman of action, and she excels at bringing people together and inspiring them to work toward a common goal. Sam is known for seeing a need and jumping in to fill it, at the grassroots level. And if you know me, you know that taking the bull by the horns and getting the job done for the community is a trait that is near and dear to my heart.

Here’s a recent example…Sam is co-founder of Melrose Together. Melrose Together organized 300 volunteers for the Melrose Helps initiative - shopped for groceries, provided wellness checks, etc, at the beginning of COVID. They also have put together Housing Families meal kits- 3 years of Thanksgiving, December holidays and created a fund to assist with direct expenses of unhoused families.

Sam values all Melrosians. She believes that all of our voices should be heard and be part of the process of moving our city forward. Of course, some have different philosophies and ideas, but we all want the same things: a top-notch school system; new public safety facilities that enable our first responders to focus solely on protecting our community; diverse and vibrant businesses; government transparency, so that we know where our hard earned tax dollars are spent; and a community that is truly open to all. Sam will unify us as we work toward these goals, together.

A mayor serves all community members, not just those who share all of their beliefs and values. Sam believes that first and foremost, we are neighbors and she will work tirelessly to make Melrose a place that we are all proud to call home.

Together today, stronger tomorrow.

But you don’t have to take my word for it! Come meet Sam at one of the many community coffee that she has scheduled, or reach out to me and we can get together and chat.
