Sam Hammar Truly Stands Out for Mayor

We are fortunate to have a strong slate of experienced candidates for mayor this year, but I believe one candidate truly stands out—Sam Hammar.

We have called Melrose home since 2005, drawn here for many of the same reasons as others--the walkability and proximity to Boston, our local shops and restaurants, and our city's greatest asset—the people and sense of community.

Yet our city has faced many challenges throughout the past several years, and many hard decisions lie on our horizon. While these challenges are not any one person’s fault, they have led many in our community to lose faith in our local government. In order to begin rebuilding this trust and move Melrose forward together I believe we need new, bold, leadership at City Hall. Sam Hammar is the fresh start that our city needs.

Sam gets things done. Where she sees a need, she acts, as she has demonstrated countless times through her extensive community and volunteer leadership. Where others see barriers, Sam sees possibilities—such as her vision for business development and school funding, both of which are grounded in her twenty years of experience in education and state and local government. And when Sam listens, she listens to understand. Whether you have lived in Melrose for a month or a lifetime, she wants to hear from you.

Sam will lead Melrose with the same innovative ideas, collaborative spirit, authenticity, and transparency that have been the bedrock of her campaign. I hope that you will join me on September 19 and vote for Sam Hammar.

Sincerely,

Erin Hobin-Audet
